Arlington's West Mountain Inn
Nestled on hundred and fifty mountainside acres, cradled
between the Taconic and Green Mountain ranges, this full-service inn has
welcomed travelers for over two decades. From its perch overlooking the
Battenkill River and historic village of Arlington, guests relax in
comfortable surroundings, dine on creative country cuisine and enjoy a
variety of outdoor adventure opportunities Antiques and country
furnishings invite you to relax and rejuvenate in a setting where nature
surrounds you, whether it’s the fishpond, bird sanctuary, woodland
wildflower trails, or llamas and goat in residence in the pasture.
Candlelit dinners, hearty country breakfasts and warm and spacious common
spaces - this indeed is a “special peace of Vermont” where you enter as a
cherished guest and leave as one of the folks.
The Inn has a variety of accommodations catering all
types of visitors from romantic couples to families to groups of friends.
The main Inn building has 14 rooms and suites, some with fireplaces, some
with porches, almost all with beautiful views! The Cottage in the Pines is
a separate house with five bedrooms, all with private baths and all
beautifully decorated. And the three Townhouses at the Historic Mill each
have two bedrooms, living room and kitchen, perfect for families or those
who really want a private get-away!
The Inn's dining room is a cozy wood-paneled room with a
wood burning fireplace, elegant table settings and a beautiful view across
the valley. We serve a wonderful full country breakfast and a gourmet
5-course dinner every day, with a full bar and extensive wine list to
complement your meal.
Weddings have been a specialty here at the Inn for the
last 20 years. We host over 20 a year, each one individually planned by
our on-site wedding planner to reflect the individual dreams of our brides
and grooms. From the smallest wedding for 2 to a large 250 person
extravaganza, we love them all!
We host meetings and retreats for as few as 5 people and
up to 200 people. In the Inn we have several dining/meeting spaces that
can hold up to 80, for larger groups we move to our historic Hay Barn for
meeting, dining and more.
