"Understated elegance, unrivalled comfort,
and warm bespoke service" are only some of the words that show up in
reviews of Scott's, a seventeen room seigniorial 18th century mansion deep
in Mallorca's wine country. A second hotel, Scott's Galilea, is an all
suite bijou complex in the mountains, with every suite opening out onto
south-facing private terraces with breathtaking views down to the sea.
Hosts George Scott and Judy Brabner Scott aren't typical inn owners.
George is a bestselling (in the UK and Germany) mystery novelist whose
books are set in the hotels. Judy is an acclaimed architectural designer
whose work includes commission from HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
Though different in character, the Scotts' two hotels share the same
standards of quality, Scott's tradmark handmade, oversized beds, goosedown
pillows, and sumptuous breakfasts served until noon.
Recently reviewed by a New York guidebook
as one of "The World's Fifty Best Small Hotels", Scott's also was cited in
London's prestigious Good Hotel Guide as "Heaven! The most wholly
satisfying hotel I've ever stayed in."
