Sanctuary at Wildwood

Southwest Michigan, Jones, Michigan
Web Site
: www.sanctuaryatwildwood.com

The Sanctuary at Wildwood sits on over 90 acres of woods and meadows. This natural sanctuary provides security for two herds of whitetail deer, as well as the many waterfowl who regularly visit the pond. In keeping with the natural beauty of the surroundings, owners, Dick and Dolly Buerkle have chosen to continue the emphasis upon nature into the lodge itself.

Guests rooms incorporate the splendor of the outdoor surroundings within the decor of each room. From your private balcony or deck in any of the Inn's five suites, you can watch the ever-changing panorama of nature from dusk to dawn, throughout the four seasons of the year. We have 3 duplex type cottages (two suites in each building) (6 suites) that are beautiful. They all have queen tree beds/Jacuzzi/fireplace/private
bath/small fridge/coffee maker/TV/VCR and a great screened porch.

The views from the Great Room and Dining Room are equally breathtaking. As many as 60 Canadian Geese have descend upon the pond and spent a leisurely Sunday afternoon before proceeding to their destination. The Great Blue Heron, the inspiration for the Inn's logo, visits the pond morning and evening during the summer months, and deer and wild turkeys can be seen year round.

The Sanctuary at Wildwood serves a full candlelight breakfast each morning.

Michigan's wine country provides guests with ample opportunity for antique shopping, engaging in challenging sports and activities, and exploring the surrounding area.
