Regensberg, Switzerland: Impressive, like centuries ago, the old fortress glows on the horizon, silhouetted against the sky and surrounded by vineyards. On clear moonlight nights, one can imagine ancestral footsteps echoing on the cobblestones. The old courtyard fountain has many stories to tell, and the antique houses with their ancient beams, the castle and the tower all seem to be as in a legend.

"Tranquility for the heart and mind."

In the center of Regensberg, the Rote Rose and the Engelfrid Guest Houses are located in an unspoiled Medieval village. They will both exceed your expectations of a luxurious inn with elegant antique furnishings and all modern conveniences in two beautifully restored ancient buildings. You will have privacy to enjoy this peaceful environment at your leisure.

Rote Rose Guest House

This lovely old 15th Century building offers a variety of pleasures, including charming suites with kitchenettes and gorgeous views as well as the gallery where Lotte Günthart's beautiful watercolors may be viewed. There are several gourmet restaurants nearby and the staff are happy to organize special candellight dinners for their guests.

Engelfrid Guest House

This house is one of the oldest homes once owned by prominent citizen in Regensberg, the Engelfrid family of town chroniclers in the Sixteenth Century. Since 1970, the Engelfrid has been the headquarter of the Lotte and Willi Günthart foundation and its special character is protected by the Historical Society of the Swiss government. In this historic house, the unique ambiance of each of the inn's suites has been accurately restored with the addition of all modern conveniences.

Either of these charming houses would be the perfect place to spend a romantic weekend.
