Where?: Way up on the west coast of Scotland, near the famous Inverewe Garden. The Romantic factor: Huge. Just 4 suites (it was once a 16 bedroom hotel) in a beautiful house overlooking a loch frequented by seals and porpoises amid deafening silence. Best Bed: one of the owners is a descended from Captain Smith of the Titanic & the Diadem suite mimics a first class cabin, with working fire place – as on the ship- a huge 1912 bath with glass canopied shower. There’s a bigger bed than those on the boat, though: 7ft square. Just spare us all the Celion Dion in the shower! Food for Love: local lobster, salmon, oysters, scallops, langoustine and hand collected mussels.
