shrouded in Spanish moss, you feel transported in time, your heartbeat

Litchfield Plantation offers the
exceptional accommodations of a unique country inn, with four categories
of rooms, all very distinctive, to suit your individual needs and
preferences. For your added enjoyment, each room also has direct access to
a comfortable living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
Gourmet dining is available in our acclaimed restaurant, The Carriage
House Club. Litchfield Plantation is ideal for corporate retreats as well
as individuals, couples and families preferring accommodations in a quiet,
secluded setting. Accommodations at the Plantation are all equipped with
king-size, queen-size beds or twin beds, private baths, cable TV, and
voice-message/data port telephones. Furnishings vary according to the
character of each unit.
The Plantation House: The exceptionally
spacious Ball Room Suite features a large living room area, a four-poster
king size bed, fireplace, and a beautiful bathroom containing a double
Jacuzzi and adjoining glass-enclosed shower. Perhaps the foremost asset of
the second floor is the view, a full 360 degrees over the Plantation
grounds...your gaze wanders out at the Avenue of Live Oaks, to our lovely
crystal-clear pool, and finally to the masts of sailboats passing along
the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Gun Room is on the first floor of the
Plantation House. Decorated with leather and wood, this suite includes a
comfortable sitting room with separate half-bath. The bedroom has a
queen-size canopied bed, fireplace, and a stunning view of our Avenue of
The Blue Room, on the second floor, offers
views of the historic rice fields that lead to the river. Featuring a cozy
sitting area, fireplace, and a king-size Rice Bed, this lovely room
abounds with Southern charm.
The Red Room has an Oriental flavor blended
with the soft grace of the Lowcountry. With its outstanding view of the
rice fields, queen-size bed, fireplace, and down chaise lounge that
envelopes you, this comfortable room offers a delightful escape.
The Guest House at Litchfield Plantation is
an 8,250 square foot brick and stucco residential mansion surrounded by
courtyards, landscaped patios, covered walkways and is located beside a
natural pond. The Guest House has 10 ft. ceilings and ceramic tile
flooring throughout the first floor. The main living room (17' X 35')
features a fireplace, grand piano, and ample space in which to relax and
enjoy luxury. The formal dining room comfortably seats 12 for dinner.
Other common rooms include library, bar room, kitchen and breakfast area.
Perfect for corporate retreats and reunions, the Guest House offers six
bedrooms with king size and double beds, each with private bath,
telephone, and cable TV. The expansive Executive suite features a massive
writing desk and cozy sitting area in front of the fireplace.
Executive Suite: An elegant room for a
truly superlative getaway. Occupying the entire second floor of the Guest
House, the Executive Suite provides our guests with a king size antique
sleigh bed, a snug sitting area before the fireplace and a modern wet-bar.
The bathroom contains a luxurious double Jacuzzi and adjoining
glass-enclosed shower, double sinks and a wicker chaise lounge. The warm
Chinese red glow in the décor provides the atmosphere of a cozy retreat.
Dining room: The classic formal
dining room of the Guest House can elegantly accommodate 14 guests at
table. It is an ideal setting for a group of friends to dine or a small
corporate group meeting. The kitchen is just through the swing door and
catering may be arranged with the Carriage House Club. Flip charts and A/V
equipment are available as well.

pleasure of dining in the privacy of the Carriage House Club at Litchfield

facility gives you the flexibility to enjoy a quiet night out, while

Our private, on-site restaurant provides a unique ambiance that
complements superb cuisine. Delight in regional favorites without having
to leave the comfort of the Plantation.
The Beach House
Litchfield Plantation’s own 3-story oceanfront beach club house is
located on nearby Pawleys Island, known for its old homes and unspoiled
character. Enjoy private parking and direct beach access. Ground floor
dressing areas have showers, and the second floor breezeway is a cool
spot for bring-your-own lunches. The third floor has even finer
furnishings for special occasions on a reservation-only basis.
The private marina, on the Plantation grounds, is available for
short-term dockage of guests' boats (space permitting). Convenient to
the Intracoastal Waterway, the marina is a protected fresh-water harbor.
Pool & Tennis
Two tennis courts are adjacent to and within a few leisurely steps
from the Carriage House Club and The Plantation House. A competitive
match or a friendly game can be enjoyed during your stay at Litchfield
Nearby are several Har-Tru
courts which can be reserved. Guests can also golf at area premier
courses, several within a five minute drive.
The large free-form design
of the heated pool, with a view overlooking the adjacent tidal marshes,
will give you the feeling of open spaces and natural beauty. You may
also enjoy our club house cabana with kitchen facilities.
Carriage House Club is this area's premier venue for wedding ceremonies
and receptions. We cater to a wide variety of wedding styles from formal
to casual and intimate to grand scale. Each aspect of a wedding, including
rehearsal dinners, lovely ceremonies performed under the majestic live oak
trees, receptions and wedding brunches are expertly planned and
